Welcoming Sophia Felix to CLCM
Children’s Law Center of Massachusetts is thrilled to welcome Sophia Felix to our Education Practice.
Sophia joins CLCM with several years of experience in family law, where she supported clients through complex and highly contested matters with compassion, dignity, and strong advocacy. Her commitment to helping people navigate difficult moments aligns deeply with our education team’s mission to expand access to high-quality education for students in under-resourced districts and to challenge systemic barriers that impede students’ opportunities to learn.
During law school, Sophia led a pro bono project supporting survivors seeking protective orders, served as President of her school’s National Lawyers Guild chapter, and volunteered with Young Advocates for Fair Education in New York City—a nonprofit dedicated to protecting students’ educational rights.
At CLCM, Sophia will support students in Lynn, Lawrence, Lowell, Chelsea, Revere, and Salem—helping young people who are being excluded from educational services or facing policies and practices that limit their ability to learn. She is committed to client-centered representation for students whose needs are often overlooked, including English learners, students with disabilities, youth experiencing homelessness or foster care, and young people navigating multiple systems.
Sophia holds a J.D. from New England Law | Boston and a B.A. in Politics and Philosophy (Honors College), with minors in Legal Studies and Africana Studies from the University of Pittsburgh.
We are excited to welcome Sophia’s passion, insight, and energy to our team and look forward to the impact she will make for students and families across the Commonwealth.
