Welcoming Nora Doherty and Dan Wells to CLCM
We are excited to welcome Nora Doherty and Dan Wells, who joined the Children’s Law Center of Massachusetts (CLCM) in September 2025. Both represent youth in immigration matters and bring exceptional experience and dedication to advancing children’s rights.
Meet Nora Doherty
Nora most recently served as an Attorney Advisor at the Boston Immigration Court. Her legal experience spans removal defense, family- and employment-based immigration, and policy advocacy, with roles at Greater Boston Legal Services, Palmer Polaski PC, Las Americas Advocacy Center, and the Program for Human Rights and the Global Economy.
Before law, she taught middle school math in Lawrence and Chelsea, MA, and earned a Fulbright grant to teach English in Colombia. Nora holds a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, an M.Ed. from Boston University, and a B.A. in Psychology and Peace and Justice from Villanova University.
Meet Dan Wells
Dan was previously an Associate at Ropes & Gray LLP, where he maintained a pro bono immigration practice handling asylum, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), humanitarian parole, and removal defense.
During law school, Dan interned with Greater Boston Legal Services, Oxfam America, and Ropes & Gray. Before law, he built a career in financial services as a Chartered Internal Auditor. Dan’s advocacy for young people began earlier, with ten years volunteering at the Youth Adventure Trust in the UK, where he ran camps, mentored youth, and co-founded the Volunteers Committee.
He holds a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, where he was Managing Editor of the Law Review, and a B.A. (Honors) in Modern History from the University of Bristol (UK).
