This initiative is part of the Law Center's Child & Adolescent Legal Services (CALS) Program, but serves a substantial amount of children in Lawrence, the Commonwealth's poorest city. Begun in 2008 with a grant from the Massachusetts Bar Foundation, the project provides children, ages 3-22, with individual representation in a range of education matters, including special education, homelessness, and school discipline. It also offers technical assistance and trainings to parents, attorneys and helping professionals, and engages in various policy-based activities to expand its reach.
