The EdLaw Project is a collaborative effort between the CLCM and the Youth Advocacy Project (YAP) of the Commonwealth's Committee for Public Counsel Services. YAP provides legal representation to indigent children charged with crimes by using a multi-disciplinary youth development approach, coordinating the involvement of attorneys, social workers and psychologists to attend to their clients' legal and rehabilitative needs. YAP serves as the host organization for EdLaw while CLCM administers and provides substantial support. This structure both promotes access to some of the highest risk, indigent children and allows nearly 100% of funds to support EdLaw's goals. Neither CLCM nor YAP imposes fees for grants and others monies designated for EdLaw.
