EdLaw Project

The EdLaw Project is a collaborative effort between the CLCM and the Youth Advocacy Division (YAD) of the Commonwealth's Committee for Public Counsel Services. YAD provides legal representation to indigent children charged with crimes by using a multi-disciplinary youth development approach, coordinating the involvement of attorneys, social workers and psychologists to attend to their clients' legal and rehabilitative needs. YAD serves as the host organization for EdLaw while CLCM administers and provides substantial support. This structure both promotes access to some of the highest risk, indigent children and allows nearly 100% of funds to support EdLaw's goals. Neither CLCM nor YAD imposes fees for grants and others monies designated for EdLaw.
